2024年夏より、身近な商業施設や家屋の一部を切り取り、
抽象画やイラストのような質感を追求するミニマル建築写真の制作を開始。
かつては子育てや家事との両立から、
有名スポットや長距離の撮影が困難な日々を送っていました。
「限られた環境の中で、自分にしか表現できない被写体はないか」と模索していた折、
海外の抽象建築写真と出会い、その概念に深く感銘を受けました。
美しい景色や圧倒的な建築美だけでなく、私たちの身の回りにある何気ない日常の中にも、
光の当たり方や切り取り方次第で、息をのむような美しさが潜んでいます。
日常を再発見するようなその探求にのめり込み、
現在はミニマリズムと抽象表現を軸に作品を制作しています。
In the summer of 2024, I began creating minimalist architectural photographs that capture fragments of familiar commercial buildings and residential properties, seeking to achieve a texture reminiscent of abstract paintings or illustrations.
In the past, juggling childcare and household chores made it difficult to visit famous landmarks or undertake long-distance photography. Whilst searching for subjects that only I could capture within my limited circumstances, I came across abstract architectural photography from overseas and was deeply moved by the concept.
It is not only in beautiful landscapes or awe-inspiring architectural beauty that such wonder lies; even in the unassuming everyday surroundings around us, breathtaking beauty lies hidden, depending on how the light falls and how the scene is framed.
I became engrossed in this quest to rediscover the everyday, and I now create works centred on minimalism and abstract expression.
